Press the "Power" button on the front of the PS3 system to turn the system on. Plug one end of the USB charge ps3 motion controller cable that came with the system into one of the system's USB ports. Plug the opposite end of the charge cable into the USB charge port on the PS3 controller. The PS3 Cooling fan will now turn on and sync with the system. Valentines Day was so much simpler in elementary school. Each year Mom would find a castaway shoebox that I would then plaster with doilies, construction paper, and copious amounts of glitter in hopes of crafting the ultimate personalized mailbox. I took great comfort in the fact that every February 14th, I would be guaranteed at least 20 cards and gobs of funsized candy bars from my classmates, plus anything else my friends outside of school decided to give. I remember how in the 3rd grade, my “boyfriend” at the time gave me a holographic Charizard Pokemon card, reassuring me that we were certainly spending our entire lives together. We didn’t work out (but thanks for the memories, Pieter!), yet even kids who weren’t “dating” could always rest in the fact that they wouldn’t be ignored on Valentines Day.
Twelve years later, I’ve been able to experience the stereotypical, romantic Valentines dates with fancy dinners and expensive gifts that we all dreamt of as young girls. I’ve also had my fair share of those lonely evenings portrayed in countless chick flicks, spent curled up in ratty PJs with my single girlfriends watching Never Been Kissed and eating our feelings in chocolate.
Amidst the good and … not-so-good memories, even now I find myself longing for the simplicity of those childhood valentines. Naturally we all love those homemade hearts still oozing with half-dried Elmer’s, but even the innocence of those mass-produced cards with holographic cartoons and cheesy puns still warms my spirit. So this year, I decided to scour the internet for some throwback cards that I’m going to send to all of my friends. Here are a few of my favorites:
